I
study light, color, form, and energy. I paint plein air, and these
studies are the starting point for more involved studio works.
I often present the human imprint on "natural settings",
including wharfs, formed ponds, and telephone poles. I paint the
edge of man's world where it meets untouched beauty.
I was raised in Santa Barbara, received a BFA from the University
of Washington, and spent an additional three years studying at
Art Center College of Design. The next twenty years were consumed
with raising my son and running a silkscreen and manufacturing
business. I am now painting full time.
