I began my outdoor photography more than two decades ago. During that time I’ve created bodies of work related to the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and California’s Sierra Nevada. I focus primarily on wilderness areas and shared public lands including Yosemite, Sequoia, and Kings Canyon National Parks. My traveling fine art and environmental advocacy exhibitions include “A Wilderness Worth Saving,” “Future of Sequoias: Sustaining Parklands in the 21st Century,” and “Intimate Thoughts: Impressions of the Natural World.” My specialty is panoramic photography in which I combine sequential frames into a whole image. This technique enables me to produce exceedingly detailed large-scale scenes. The process results in images that capture an overwhelming sense of place.
