I
was raised in Palos Verdes, California, where I always had an
appreciation of our beautiful coast, and loved to swim, surf,
make music and art. I had some especially encouraging and influential
art teachers early on that concreted my future in all things artistic,
and the expression of them. I pursued further artistic studies
at California School of Arts and Crafts and at Cal Arts, moved
to Santa Barbara in 1972, had a glass business, Bob's Glass, and
designed and installed architectural glass pieces. Throughout
the time I had his business I continued with blown glass, ceramics,
painting and drawing for more personal artistic outlets. I sold
the company in 2002, and have completely devoted myself to this
personal art since. I have been working plein air and doing studio
work as well as figure drawing and sculpture.
